(quilting patterns) A new home for quilters - Tower Timberjay News

North Country Quilts now has a new home, at 303 Main Street, on the east edge of town. Owner Corky Hill said the new building, which she and her husband Dan bought and renovated, is quaint, cozy and more homey than their original location in the old fire hall, where they opened in 1999. The building, which was Annie Myre’s home, and then turned into commercial space by Steve Abrahamson and rented by Kitchens & Brass, has an inviting front porch, which Hill is using to display quilts. The shop carries quilting and sewing supplies, notions, knitting supplies and yarns, as well as a large selection of books and patterns. The new space also features a small classroom area, where quilters can try out new techniques, or simply learn the basics. Larger classes can be held at the Legion Hall, next door.
